While Zebrina Pendula's children grew more beautiful with each birthday, the cousins pretty much stayed the same.
No one was allowed to forgets bellis' birthday this time.
Like his auntie Zinnia he had an interest in a music career. But he was a lucky lad, he decided he was going to be a rock star, and disappeared off straight after the celebration to get a job working his way up.
The family got him a guitar in his favourite colour. He got to work learning some songs as soon as he got back.
Ylang and Yucca started spending some quality time each evening with each other de-stressing after school. But Yerba was withdrawing from her sisters alot, she had started to dislike technology, and that TV was one huge arse bit of technology. She had to find other ways to de-stress. Reading was good, she could still fill her hungry mind with knowledge.
She was still finishing her homework before the others and was no longer confused by this, but instead gained a degree of smugness while watching them catch up. Yucca, while no genius, was alway only just behind her though.
Despite being triplets the girls where so different. They where all artistic yes, but that was about all they shared. They all looked very different too.
Ylang was a total daredevil, but she was also clumsy which is not a good mix. She couldn't wait to start a family.
Yerba was always in her own technology free mind thinking up amazingly clever evil plots and masterminds.
And Yucca had an air of goodness on her face at all times, but could schmooze anyone to be her friend. Being so brave and good, she had already decided like her uncle, grandmother and great grandfather she wanted to be in the police force, but she had decided she wanted to be a special agent.
Brachycone inappropriately started having days off to read cooking books and recipes. Other than cooking and skipping days from school there really wasn't anything else that excited him.
Zebrina jumped straight into painting her eldest son now he was an adult.
But the painting was cut short when one of the family read in the newspaper that auntie Zea had passed away. Zebrina was stricken with grief and guilt. In the newspaper? What would her mother have said it she had known they had grown so far apart that she had to find out about the death in a newspaper. Zebrina Pendula couldn't even pick up Zea'a remains, there had been some fishing accident, and the body still had not been found.
Zebrina spent the whole of the next day with Zea's twin Zinnia.
Zinnia was very upset about her twin sister passing, but seeing her baby sister helped ease the pain some.
They even embarrassed the kids by having a dance.
Zebrina was pleased to have spent the day with her sister because she too passed on later that day. She vowed never to drift apart from her family, and she would encourage her children to be the same.
While all this was going on Ty's mastermind plot to get his boss out of the picture worked. He was now 'Emperor of evil'. After some salad made by his son.
And a chat with his mother-in-law he decided it would be a good idea to retire.
He set about getting some mechanical skills and fixing everything around the house. Perhaps not the best idea while being so unlucky and kneeling in water. But with your super lucky eldest son stood so close whats the worse that could happen?
Torgo mourned for his first born girls.
Zinnia joined the family the same evening. It must have been Bellis' music that called her.
It was nice to have her home again.
All the deaths in the family was making Zebrina uneasy and grouchy though.
Yerba managed to find a friend from school to chat with though. A friend she had alot in common with. They could spend hours talking of clever mastermind plots, and bio hazard.
They got on very well.
Zebrina mourned and spent time with her 3 brothers.
The family had all done so well. It made her proud.
After his coming of age Bellis had been getting serious with his old highschool girlfriend. (in his parents beds of all places.)
When Shavonne let him know they had gotten alittle too serious he decided the best thing to do would be to pop the question. He still wanted to be a rock star, and he didn't want this little gem coming out in the future once his career was going well, and for it to be even worse. He decided he could hold the actual marriage and moving in together off a while though. Working to be a rock star and full time child care would be difficult. But he was super excited about becoming a dad, and getting married.
Zebrina finally managed to complete his portrait. The first of her children. She hung it in the gallery with the other family portraits.
On the morning of her birthday Zebrina discovered Abutilon has passed away. It saddened the celebration, but everybody put on a smile for mum.
Perhaps it was time to retire the snakebites and eyeliner.
After some birthday cake and chit chat (and ty moaning about not getting the last child he wanted) Zebrina was contacted with the sad news that Abutilons twin brother, Amaranthus has also passed away.
